Yes, I would agree, at one time they were there. But they was doubt on the part of intelligence people that they were still there when Bush decided to go to war....I believe the rest of the world had the same reservations and wasn't shown enough credible evidence.

The administration's best source said that the weapons were gone by 1995. If there were almost certainly weapons then Bush would have just let Hans Blix stumble across them because it would have brought a united front to wage and pay for the war. The rush to invade, and the supression of information to the inspectors, is the clearest proof that Junior and Rumsfeld knew that a thorough inspection and detailed answers over any remaining points would have shown Saddam to be disarmed.
