Actually, I thought even city slickers like me knew that when farmers fertilized with nitrogen, they were really nitrogen compounds.

Well, OK, just those of us who passed high school chemistry. You learn in there that nitrogen, N2, is very unreactive and not of much use to plants without the help of lightning, chemical plants, or bacteria.

You SURE that will work??? NH3 is highly poisonous. Much concentration would kill the grass.

I live in the NE......moisture we have plenty of this year....
even as I type, with 2 more inches expected tomorrow.
