Hawkmoon,

Reagan's 25% was a negotiating position, not a plan that was likely to be executed.

I don't know what sort of publications you read, since you so rarely cite any. So I'm astonished that you don't comprehend how terribly dangerous Bush is to our economic stability. You really ought to do some research on Grover Norquist and his insane scheme to starve the Federal Government of enough money to operate. This is the scheme that Bush is effectuating for a cabal of extremely mean-spirited and greedy elitists who don't give a damn about destroying the middle class and prosperity in the U.S. since they have a scheme in place to collect and control the assets of the nation.

Once you understand how vile Norquist is, and realize that the GHP is on a campaign to turn the clock back to the bad old days before the New Deal, then we might have the basis for a conversation.

As it stands, you seem to me to either be blowing smoke about Reagan vs. Bush, or to be seriously deficient in the study of economics and the implications of the vast and vastly irresponsible and immoral deficits that the Repuglicans are engineering in order to wreck the government and our collective future as a nation.

-Ray
