An excellent place to start is with the very thorough study done on the fatal trajectory of policy that Bush is on as developed by a very intelligent Republican named Kevin Phillips. His book, "Wealth and Democracy" is a very sober and timely study of the nature of inequality and social/cultural advance in America. I highly recommend it as a definitive argument against the insanity of Bush's greedy schemes:
