I didn't say Afghanistan was so successful, or that we finished the job there. Not catching Osama was a big failure. We end up now with two dangerous occupations, there and in Iraq. Either one could turn out to be a real quagmire. At least in Afghanistan we have a local government. We have none in Iraq. So Iraq looks more dangerous. Also, our allies in Afghanistan are the biggest opium smugglers in the world. The price you pay in the dirty third world.
