I shamefacedly admit to being a little interested in the "disappearing microbiologist theory" but in my defense say that I was more interested in debunking it. The urge to debunk is one of my weaknesses. I am almost as tireless in debunking conspiracy theories as others are in spinning them. If you click on my SI profile, the only personal item there anymore is "CobaltBlue's law of the Internet: Bogus information multiplies ten times faster than the truth on the Internet."
