No explanation was given. This latest deceit -- while trivial -- perfectly captures the the Bush-Rove modus operandi. I suspect, Bush will try a lot of excuses until the conservative base locks into one [or more]. jla is a good barometer. When jla locks into one, you know it's been repeated nine or ten times on Rush. One of the pretty astounding aspects of this particular claim, i.e., looters took the WMD.....we went from a situation where the alleged WMD were under the tight fisted control of the Iraqi regime. Now, with our clever attack on Iraq to get those WMD, we claim that they are under the control of a bunch of willy-nilly looters that would sell a WMD for two AK-47s and a loaf of bread. Good move on our part? My guess is that folks like Rush will figure that one out and this particular claim won't last very long. jttmab
