The fact is that before attacking "Liberty" Israel inquired if there were any US ships in the area. The attack started only after US informed Israel that there were no US ships in the area and hence that was not a US ship. Your source is ...... ?

You can fly 10 US flags on the military ship but it is not a US ship if US denies that it is.. What a bunch of nonsense. Not only did the ship fly a US flag, the Israelis were jamming US frequencies, they came with unmarked aircraft. I hardly think they would try to conceal their identities from the Egyptians. idiotic conspiracy theory Conspiracy hasn't anything to do with it. The Israelis came in and shot away at the USS Liberty. They shot at the antennas, they shot up the life boars and they did there best to try to make sure that there were no survivors. It was deliberate and planned [you have to plan to jam US frequencies]. jttmab
