A new kind of airlift

There's a strike in eastern Germany currently - the union IG Metall wants a reduction of weekly work hours from 38 to 35. In the middle of a recession with a record unemployment there's little sympathy for such a demand; many employees voted against the strike. But the IG Metall imported strikers from western Germany to block access to production sites. The counter measure by one of the companies, Federal Mogul: helicopters transport employees willing to work and finished products to and from the plant.
