My stance is anti-Zionist/greater Israel

To be anti-Zionist is to be against the State of Israel, not just "greater Israel".

Nadine says in here reply that "to be anti zionist is to be anti-israel." Makes sense to me, but is what you are actually saying is that you are against anti-expanionsist zionist Israel and will accept 1967 borders as the basis for a settlement? My argument all along has been that in order to settle this issue, we have to forgo all the histories involved. There can be no solution with either competing versions of history or religion for that matter. Both parties must accept peaceful coexistence and total recognition of the agreed to borders. And if you cant get 100% acceptance each regime has to stop those who would then break the peace. Once there is a deal and appropriate settlers are removed, there will not be a return to confrontation on israels side. I cant be as sanguine about pals reigning in hamas unless, a. funding dries up, b.terror regimes like iran, syria, saudi change their stripes and c. PA clamps down on terror. Then and only then there can be peace. The Israelis and folks like Nadine and to a lesser extent myself are extremely skeptical. And for some reason, your skepticism rest largely with the israelis. Do you not accept the evil of all terrorism or do you make excuses for the Palestinian variety? Are you not against all terror supporting states or do you think George Bush is the worlds greatest problem? These are the impressions i get from your posts. But i have hope because you sound like a good guy. I am a good guy too, although some here might not thinks so. I will bend over backwards to find a way to peace in the middle east. And by the way my hope is that the mideast will become a WMD zone and yes the israelis too. Mike
