You must be talking about nickels.
By now, most people know they are not actually 5 cents worth of nickle. You can make nickles pretty cheaply, far less than five cents. (it depends upon the age of the cents)

I don't think twenty nickels are really worth a dollar, not when it comes right down to it, I will trade you three quarters and three pennies for sixteen nickles.
