So you are saying we only have two choices: Selectively invade countries in the middle east, starting with Iraq, and occupy these countries to use them as military bases -- or -- conduct large-scale bombing of cities to kill civilians? And between the two, large-scale bombing of cities is less civilized, hence invading Iraq was the right thing to do?

we could just have war with arabs or muslim fundamentalists- and bomb their population centers andnot put our troops at risk. or perhaps the united states could refrain from our unflinching, unabashed, one-sided support of the nazionist state of israel. then there would be no need for arab or muslim fundamentalists to want to travel thousands of miles to terrorize us in the first place. i guess that option doesn't sound very kosher to you zionist loyalists.
