I have a great idea for the Democrats....try telling the American public and YOU are going to not only take away the tax cuts, but you are going to raise taxes too for more social programs, because you believe you can tax America into prosperity, and because you believe government can spend our money much better than we can

I am curious why so many Naive Dems continue the myth that President benefitting the rich. A tax RATE CUT does one thing, it reduces TAXES PAID for those that PAY THEM. Frankly, in my many years as a practicing CPA I found that "RICH" people, as you call them, pay LESS taxes PERCENTAGEWISE then I did. Why, cause they have the funds to invest in a MYRIAD of tax shelters made available by our Congress over the years. Its the middle and upper middle class that truly bear the burden. If you are opposed to reducing income tax RATES just so state, dont try to make up a story about the rich, that might work with the poor uneducated people, but the middle class is well aware of the onerous tax burden we bear. jdn
