I heard the argument that, when asked why Bush is so fond of this WAR, the answer was: 'Bush is a good man, he is a Christian'. The logic is, just as I heard and learned that, as long as you are a Christian, you're OK regardless of what you do. mr chen, as with ms tudor and gst, you are all falling into the same trap. you are judging christianity based upon the words and commandments of men rather than the words and commandments of God. do you know where the expression a wolf in sheep's clothing came from? the book of matthew, chapter seven. evil-doers that work their iniquity in the name of christianity shall be exposed by their fruits. if you do not read the word of God, and rely only on the commandments of men, you will be incapable of distinguishing the evil fruit from the good. 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. so you see, simply claiming you have moral authority because you call yourself a christian will profit you nothing.
