I believe that anybody who would lie about something as fundamental as declaring war is not fit to be President of the United States

it happens every time. i don't know why you sound so shocked and upset.

--in kosovo the american public was lied to and told there were 100,000 mass graves as a result of ethnic cleansing by the serbs. it was a fraud.
--in the gulf war, bush sr. concocted stories of babies being ripped out of incubators and people being ripped from kidney dialysis machines, etc. part of the justification for our intervention was a supposed massing of iraqi troops on the saudi border. this later turned out to be a fraud as well.
--gulf of tonkin? i think you've covered this before.
--i think it has been well established that fdr perpetrated all kinds of falsehoods to drag the united states into world war two. clare luce stood up on the floor of the congress and cried, "he lied us into war!". fdr's secretary of war, henry stimson wrote "how we should maneuver them into the position of firing the first shot" in his diary two weeks before pearl harbor.
--there were lies told about german submarine warfare and the lusitania in world war one.

i think you are getting my point.

there were many lies and deceptions perpetrated surrounding 9/11 as well, they just haven't come out yet. i will refrain from speculating on them until the documentary proof becomes public, which of course will happen far enough in the future that no one will much care at that point.
