I think PROLIFE handled this.

But about Grayout Davis: He's the guy who decided to interpose the state into that energy mess and, in the process of buying electricity at the highest prices ever recorded, drained a multibillion dollar state surplus that had been accumulated over decades.

And he did it to ensure his own reelection.

He helped deepen the hole with wall-to-wall "TURN OFF THE LIGHTS!" TV commercials paid for by the state to get people not to have lights on in rooms they actually weren't in.

Now: Suppose someone saw their electrical bill go from $50 a month to $250 in one month. That's what probably would have happened had Greyout stayed out of this.

You know what would happen? You wouldn't need TV commercials. PEOPLE WOULD DO THAT AND MUCH MORE TO GET THEIR BILLS DOWN. And they'd also have leaned HARD on their Congresscritters to get FERC to act. Which didn't happen because Davis bankrupted the state treasury to keep the boat from being rocked while he was running for office.

How much more do you need to recall the jerk? If a situation like this is not exactly what recall is intended to handle, what is?

Oh, yes, I want you to know my wife and I signed recall petitions months ago.

So you're "for the people" and you defend this criminal?
