I have always stated that the greatest miracle is enjoying and staying in the health that heaven has provided. I heard a statement by a well known evangelist last night and the statement was that all healing is for the golry of God. So from that you can draw the conclusion that God allows some people to become sick or diseased so that from the healing he can be glorified.
We studied in our Sunday school class that many times people get sick because of sin, either their own sins or just being born into a sin filled world and having received from Adam and Eve sickness that is manifested in flesh. Please do not read anything into this discussion .All I am saying is that by way of Adam sin entered the world and along with it sickness. Individuals that sin may find that sins of the flesh reap corruption of the flesh, again only in generalities. But there is a third reason that sickness enters and that is solely because God wants to be glorified by the healing of that individual. Biblically I speak of for example the man blind from birth. But in all of these healings God is glorified and that is ostensibly I feel that the message is that just as sickness is made manifest in our flesh so is our spirit also sick and diseased and must be made well. If there is a constant positive it is that sickness is a constant reminder of the corruption of the spirit and the corruption that sin original or not exacts on our souls and the ultimate need for a healer or savoir and or deliverer and ultimately a spiritual road map to Christ...In Christ ...gregor
