HH, I was too young then to have much of an opinion. I was very mission oriented and constantly busy with training or OPS. I did not become aware of the dark and evil side of politics until much later. My impressions of JFK were that he was smart, patriotic, dynamic and a real leader. My older buddies and bosses loved him for authorizing Special Forces to wear the Green Beret.Yet, It wasn't for a few more years that I understood or appreciated the effect of that hat on the rest of the world. Living on deployed A-Teams is a busy life...no time to consider US politics.
