Well, your friend's hands appearing in a movie is better than I've done in my life!

Actually, I understand that the models who let their hands be shown for things like those older Palmolive commercials, or nail polish commercials, or such actually do quite well. There are, I'm told, models for hands, for feet, and for other body parts, not of course to mention whole body doubles some actors or actresses use for, ah, scenes of undress.

I saw a glorious production of You're a Good Man about ten years ago. Snoopy was absolutely marvelous, being a perfect mix of canine and human.

But as to going into musical theater because that's where the money is, well, for about ten people in the country that's true. But it's not the advice I would give anybody myself. Commercials are, sadly, where the real money is.
