You don't have to discuss the criteria to state your overall opinion of it. or you can answer the question and then explain why by setting your criteria. Or its fine if you don't want to answer the question as well. There is no rule that you have to answer every question someone asks, my point is you don't have to establish the criteria first. All true, but you missed one. Isn't it legitimate to ask the person who first raised the question, what their criteria is? jjtmab
