HEHEHE,

I'm thinking this may not save this cycle.

I'm still hoping WiFi and Voice over the internet inpackets is what will turn current doldrums.

Telecom has to come to the party with some innovation,as well as a computer upgrade cycle.

I'm in need of a lap top with Wi-Fi. If I need it then almost everybody does,as I've been far froma computer trend setter.

Bobn

Ah, here is a more traditional use for chips. I think this is the largest order I've seen in years.

9:10PM Fujitsu defies market decline on $8.5 bln Verizon order (FJTSY, VZ) by Allen Wan

TOKYO (CBS.MW) -- Fujitsu (FJTSY) confirmed it has received an order worth about 100 billion yen ($8.5 billion) from Verizon Communications (VZ) for a next-generation fiber-optic system. The deal is for equipment compatible with ultrahigh-speed SONET (synchronous optical network), which can send large amounts of data, including sound and video, said the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, which first reported the deal -- one of the largest since the bursting of the telecom bubble. While the rest of the market was lower, shares of Fujitsu rose 2 percent to 440 yen.
