What evidence gave you such insight that you felt Saddam would attack the US either directly or through terrorist intermediaries..... Had he ever done it before???? What would have been his fate if he had???? Was or is he suicidal???? In the opinion of many, gas and bioweapons are not really WMD....nukes certainly are. If it was so easy for him to produce the former, I again ask why he didn't? And the biggest question of all for you.....how did you know Saddam's intent other than the propaganda you were fed by Bush, and obviously consumed. Do you consider the eventual risk from NK and Iran to be great.....one or both will or already has nukes.... BTW, how effective are our inspections????

You're forgetting even before the war we'd dropped thousands of bombs on anything in Iraq ressembling a missile, radar or weapons site. Plus the UN inspectors had years to comb over the place, and destroyed plenty. Some say 90% or more of his bombs and missiles. By last year, Saddam was a paper tiger, a shadow of what he used to be when he had the power to intimidate his neighbors. He didn't even have an air force. The one mystery is if he had WMD's why didn't he use them? IMHO Bushies should have found out about that prior to invading, rather than after the fact. Now their credibility is badly damaged. You cannot deny that.
