Hi Oliver. I thought that I'd mention a train of logic. With most trades that take place, the brokerage is "the other side." Why are the brokerages able to charge a "commission" for such action? They are not doing work for me. They are representing themselves. When I pay someone a fee, they are supposed to do work for me, in exchange for that fee. In this case I pay a fee for the brokerage to work against me. I would suggest that all commissions that have been collected over the years should be returned as they were collected for services not rendered.
