I believe not by the first Jewish settler but by the first CHRISTIAN ZIONIST who ever supported Israel. Christian has a history of having too many charlatans and too many soothsayers. You knew these modern day sham artists will find a way to profit from this scam..ie. that the creation of Israel is somehow a prophetic event straight from the bible. Once Hal Lindsey saw the power of this sham in generating money for his coffer, more outlandish books were soon to follow after the first successful book back in 1974. In that book, the world was to end in 1980. His second book predicted the end of times in 1991. When the first Gulf War happened, Lindsey said doomsday is at hand. Of course, we had to learn that doomsday was now 2000 in a new book. So this scam continues to this day, Christan Zionist led to believe Israel, and not the Christian Church, is somehow a timeclock for the end of times. These antichrist Zionists simply replaced the Church with modern Talmudic Judaism. It would be funny if not that people on both sides of this conflict are getting killed on account of this madness. Now you have nuts in Congress, like Tom Delay, and even Bush himself view this conflict from the warped perspective of fanatic and heretical Christian zionisism.

Looks like there's an interesting contradiction point about the Rabbis’ views here. From the link below, nkusa.org we can see a sign by the NY Rabbis that read: “Authentic Rabbis have always opposed Zionism and the State of Israel”. But on the other reports, the Rabbis’ view show the opposite, who seem to hold a more hard line than Sharon in expanding Israel's territory. As to tell which side is the authentic Rabbis, can you or any one in this thread to explain the issue? Thanks.
