Enron + Texas Gang pulled the wool over everyone's eyes. The energy "trading" scheme they invented was not even understood by the federal or California governments. That was intentional. To rig the game they had to be the only ones who could understand and manipulate it. You want to side with the crooks, go ahead. Biggest crooks in history and Bushies have covered up for them because they ARE them. The reason they targeted Davis in particular was they feared him as an opponent in 2004. He is moderate, has fundraising ability and was a Bronze Star winner in Vietnam. They also wanted to hit the largest Democratic donor base, and they mightily contributed to the Bush recession by jacking up energy prices by as much as 600%. There was actually no energy shortage. It was all a big scam.
