I dont see Canada with a trillion buck deficit heading for a 44 trillion buck national debt and plummeting dollar, because it lets the very rich off easy and socks it to the middleclass.

I also dont see them wasting tens of billions on needless defence contracts, raising 5 million a night from fat cats, then cutting services for the needy. I also dont see their leaders openly lying to their people and sending them into war without clear and present reasons.

Finally, I dont see Canadian politicians rigging elections and trying to subvert democracy.

My friends in Canada and Holland for that matter have no problems with their government. They seem quite happy, especially the women, because they know that no matter what, they are taken care of if they get into medical trouble. I am not for such big government as those countries, but we could learn a lot from Canada. And the right-wing attempt to brand them as failures is just as dishonest as Bush-Cheney telling us the Enron energy crisis was "market-driven".
