No one has "controlled" Afghanistan effectively for decades, but the Taliban is clearly out of power and unable to shelter al Queda training bases or publicly stone to death women and children. But perhaps you'd prefer that we just left them alone. After all, we couldn't *prove* Mullah Omar had a direct hand in 9/11 and the invasion resulted in the deaths of civilians. Whaddaya think, GST, should we count them up and add them to your murder indictment?
