Hawk,
But not a surprise that we are competent militarily but in other areas our government does not function well. Our retort to the friedman article several months ago would have been, "its only 2 weeks guys" but the bush admin will pay a price if this seeming ineptitude continues much longer. Can privatization play a role here? Or an Orwellian Peace/War corps of managers? Just thinking outloud. mike

believe Friedman has nailed this one correctly as well, painful as the realization is for me.

Hawk,

Do you understand better now why so many of us opposed the "rush to war"?

We never ruled out military action, but we wanted a more comprehensive approach and a better post-war plan.

We are now seeing the real damage from the hyped WMD proclamations that caused us to hurry in before we were ready.
