Hi EP, Back in January when the negative interest loans were offered by ABN Amro, I thought to myself that the loans were pricing in the fact that there wasn't anything one can buy in Yen-denomination in Japan that can hope to go positive during the 1 year term of the loan.

Should one borrow Yen and bring it offshore away from Japan, one might lose more via capital loss and/or exchange rate loss.
