Marcos,

states exist to serve people, not the other way round

I applaud your ideals and wish it were so.

However it does remind me of that Science Fiction story about an alien race that comes to Earth and solves all of our hunger and warfare problems. Their book on earth was titled 'How to serve humans'.

Unfortunately it was a cookbook.

John

<states exist to serve people, not the other way round>

Only if people insist on it. The minute people start trusting governments, and stop watching them, the governments stop serving. A habitual distrust of government, is the only thing that achieves half-way decent government.
