Thanks for that afterward, Lurqer. I too got stuck on that book at the same spot as Rosita and Clappy. Written from Gothenburg, Sweden in '84.... Interesting, I passed through Gotenburg on my motorcycle right about then. I actually have a photo that I took from the front of the ferry from Copenhagen, as we approached the dock in Gothenburg.... That reminds me, I need to get all those images digitized... scott

alec- thank you so much for posting the afterword. one sentence stands out: it gives a positive goal to work toward that does not confine. <i think there's a typo and it should read "that which does not confine"> ... and keeping that in mind, i'll continue to read. and then he says - "where my second wife and i lived aboard a sailboat". from cycling to sailing - why does that not surprise?? <g> poor chris. it must have been a good day to die. ooolo99ikl;i.,pyknulmmmmmmmmmm 111 rose
