If a quarter isnt going well, put selling could easily make up the difference.

Wouldn't the benefits of put selling go into the QSI segment so it really wouldn't affect the earnings that everyone follows, i.e. the pro-forma earnings?

slacker, double taxation is when the govt takes out social security tax on amounts you paid in taxes.

corporations and people are entirely different entities and each are taxed once. it is very self serving for the owners of companies to want complete separation from a company's liabilities but want to complain about being "taxed twice" as though they were intertwined with the corporation.

how many times can sales tax be charged on the same car? as many times as it is sold retail. one dealer repoed and sold the same car 11 times. that's 11 times taxation, right? but no to the same entity.

i'm sure we both would agree that the govt should set their self interest aside and run a stream lined govt so we all could keep more money. but, alas, they warship their self interest and want to build even bigger kingdoms to rule. i look at joe (gray) davis and i'm totally disgusted.

iow, individual selfishness as a way of life leads to bad things for everyone. the genius of our government system is that it accepted the fact people were selfish, selfish, selfish and put in some controls to moderate the impact. it has been somewhat successful over the short term, we'll see how well it does over the long term.
