A great quote. Thanks for posting. I remember that making a big impact on me when he first said it. I haven't looked up, but isn't that in the Letter from Birmingham City Jail?? Maybe that exact quote was in something else, but he said essentially that in the Letter, which was printed in a small pamphlet of about 8 pages with, as I recall, a picture of jail bars on the front. It was a formative document in my becoming committed to the action program of the civil rights movement.
