ou have to understand that there is a huge vested interest in perpetuating the myth that oil is scarce, in limited supply and that we will run out of it

ROFLMAO. yes, all the car companies, the home builders creating suburbias, they all want people to think there is no more oil so nobody will buy their products. the government wants everybody to start conserving real fast. they really invaded Iraq to find WMDs, not because of oil and the need to control the ME. LOL, keep 'em coming...

<<You have to understand that there is a huge vested interest in perpetuating the myth that oil is scarce>>

You've also got to understand that there is a huge and vested interest in perpetuating the myth that oil is plentiful, by the automakers and their associated dependants who make much larger margins on big oil guzzling dinosaurs than on fuel efficient, less polluting alternatives.

Fascinating I had assumed you meant alternative energy because the oil will run out

Now it seems like alternate energy because some perhaps today unforeseen invention/technology will coopt or rather preempt petroleum making it superfluous.

Although it will be in excess it will be near to worthless because we will have something better. Or it will be in excess because it will be worthless.

Is this more or less what you envision????????

What would happen to that restraint the day there is more than a hint that oil is soon to be obsolete or that it is in far higher supply than anyone originally imagined?

ROFLMAO. you know i have some swampland i am looking to sell...
