Of course...excuse me, Fed policy has nothing to do with mortgage rates (or vice versa). People are putting money into homes because lower interest rates have increased demand and housing prices (and a few other ancillary political items like the home interest deduction and the capital gains exclusion on home sales). Nah, the political process (of which the Fed is an integral and central part) has NOTHING to do with it. Just individual decisions by informed consumers, rightee-o.
