I have a house heated with two wood stoves and a car that gets better than 30 mpg which will be replaced with a hybrid. My electric bill is less than $960 a year, I recycle everything that can be recycled and compost the rest. OPEC has artificially reined in supply to keep the price of oil from falling more than it wants to fall for a long time. Higher prices bring on the quota cheaters. The reason the Saudis get to set the price of oil and basically tell everyone what they can lift is that they have the lowest lifting cost and they can crush anyone who gets out of line by flooding supply and crashing prices. They did it to the Russians a few years ago.
