OK lets pick this bone a bit.

"Jewels, thinking about something does not give it existence. Thinking about an ogre doesn't guarantee ogres, and thinking about existence without space does not make the idea realizable."

Realizable? As in what? Achieving an ideal in life? If this is what you mean, or something close to it, then we agree. I don’t think this ever happens. However, I would disagree that this nullifies the ideal as an actual thing. An ideal is an idea not physical experience. Ideas are as much a part of my “real” experience as are episodes in daily life. It seems most people can agree in principle on fundamental ideals that transcend events and circumstances. We have difficulty explaining such things because we end up trying to give examples (which are never adequate or universal), but as some people like to say “we know it when we see it.” I seem to remember some sort of reference you made like that on the “Island.” Thread. This is actually one of the things that I do like about the standard religious doctrines of the West. Like the “golden rule.” It may be argued that no body quite lives up to that 100 percent, but it is a sound ideal.
