I see the repeal PUHCA as significant- but am unsure of the ultimate ramifications. MidAmerican thoughts on the future are of great interest, but not readily available to myself. Transmission improvements are clearly a rational move per this article: energypulse.net Wind in the US gains tax credits. I happened to be looking over SYNM, an old GasToLiquids play, when I noted the name Zilkha. This happened to be the same people engaged in the El Paso proxy fight. A short search on them turned up zilkha.com I suspect the Zilkha clan has some smarts, based on a casual reading of history.
