I'm not clear on how the Checkfree auction service is used...

I am a heavy eBay customer, and I've always used Paypal. As a CKFR shareholder, I am eager to use the new Checkfree service, but I'm not sure how it works...

Does the seller have to offer Checkfree as a payment option in order for the buyer to use it? Does the seller have to have an account with Checkfree in order to accept payment? I'm guessing that may be the case...just like Paypal, right? Both buyer and seller must be signed up?

Or could it be that CKFR can just send a check to the seller's registered eBay address, even if they are not signed up with Checkfree? Hmmmm...that could work...so that only the buyer would have to be registered with Checkfree. It wouldn't be quite as fast as an electronic transfer, but it would still work.

I'm just thinking out loud...Checkfree obviously doesn't have the customer base (for auctions) that Paypal has, but it may have an advantage over Paypal...and that is being able to send payments (via mail) to non-members. And there are a surprising amount of folks on eBay that still do not take electronic payments, for whatever reason.

Any thoughts?
