The Enlightenment has not ended. Even as it extends itself, it fights for its life in the worlds of letters, politics and war.

I look at what is going on now as bringing the enlightenment back from the almost dead condition it was in during the last Century. It's looks like it is winning. TWT.

BTW the book is extremely good. It even has some pages on Georg Simmel who is the best I've read on social implications of money and markets and whose work doesn't get the attention it deserves.

I've placed a request in to my library. On the basis of Sherri Berman's review. I'm glad to see you liked it. As for Simmel, I'll have to read the section to believe it. Never been a favorite of mine.
