Everyone I am reading says Thomas's dissent in the AA cases is "Brilliant," John.

And everyone I read says exactly the opposite. Not enough case law and far too much personal experience. That's hardly "brilliant". Whether you agree with the position or not.

there is growing interest in tapping Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton as the Senate Democratic leader if Sen. Tom Daschle retires next year.

He is never going to voluntarily retire from Senate Democratic leader position. The article should have said if Sen. Tom Daschle fails in his re-election to the Senate next year.
