I think capitalism with a human face begins to look a lot like socialism. Our government, one of the largest employers, is really socialist- huge central authority, and it is ostensibly cooperative. So although I could agree with capitalism with a human face- if that human face is the government, I have to call it socialism to myself. :-) I agree with all your safety net elements. We probably only disagree on what we would title our society. And who really cares what you call it? I would be happy to call it capitalism with a human face- for public consumption, if that was necessary.
