Isn't this a similarity with Japan. In the early 90's the banks didn't buy the 0 interest rate policy so.

People don't realize who is wearing the pants in this economy, and it ain't the FED. The banks could up interest rates and really put a hurt on the economy and housing.

rat, the market has hiked the rates on their own. Look what GE futures pulled off in 2 days.
