Being outside of society gives you the option of looking into society. Knowing how society exists, gives you the precept of existence. Knowing existence gives you skills. And skills give you assets to balance your understandings. Is your glass house so weak that it can't take the gentle hit from a small stone. Does the bird outside picking at the glass cause it to shatter? A home made of brick can be just as brittle as one of glass! No matter how hard the wolf at the door blows still doesn't mean that the little pigs inside get hurt.... But like all good pigs, they gorge themselves upon the plenty food.
