<<Trying to get US to do YOUR homework, huh?>>
Wow, you guys are strict around here, I guess no slackers allowed, lol - as it turns out I did get into researching it a bit, and I now know more about joules and clamps than any reasonable person should have to! In any case, I wound up buying a Belkin F9S820-12 from amatteroffax.com (very high rated seller) for $23.23 total - no tax or shipping charged. Went with a Belkin because it did indeed seem to be the most favored brand name, and picked an upper-midrange model (1770 joules protection, 330 clamp, phone line splitter) cause it seemed like an excellent value. If anyone has any questions I'd be glad to show them where to find the info and the deals (now that I'm an expert! -vbg-)
