Rory,

Good to see you! It really has been too long.

Turns out that was false revenue - as I understand it. What appeared to be the makings of a tornado were actually the makings of a crook

That comment might make the most sense to me of all I've seen, particularly if FASB rules were violated.

if I had made money on gmst would I be upset with the management's apparent dishonesty? No I don't suppose I would. Not sure the rationale of that question.

My intended rationale is an attempt to speak to the consistency and discipline of our decision-making processes. Example of inconsistency, lack of discipline: We have a tendency to question why a stock is falling but we tend not to question why it's rising. Applying consistent thought to Gemstar, if Henry is trying to screw us I believe we should be mad even if we don't lose moneyon the stock for the same reason we would surely be mad at an assassin even when he fails to kill a friend, not just when he succeeds. Just my way of looking at things.

I expect you will reply with a barrage of questions like I see you did to pomp.

Nope. I got them out of my system. :)

If I don't get back to you for a couple weeks don't think I'm ignoring you.

And if you do, I also might not be available for another week or two beyond then. Thanks much for dropping in after all this time. Having noticed your recent post on another thread (the moderated Qualcomm thread?), I hope I'll continue to see more of you.
