Amy, RE: I'm open to HP or Compaq systems but got lost on their website. Go to CDW's website (cdw.com) for HP/Cpq. It's a bit easier to navigate and it's usually cheaper than DELL for an equivalent computer.

Do yourself a favor and get an "Awesome" 5500a w/800 mhz bus with hyperthreading...you can add more DDR up to 2 gig, I'd get the Corsair, maybe you would want to go SCSI but SATA is still pretty fast. abspc.com These guys don't mess around. Give them a call...
