Were there any truth to the "carlyle group" creating the Bush victory, that "shadowy group of wealthy [white] men" would very easily have prevented the Stalinist Gore minions from fabricating 1 to 2 million votes. Had they performed that simple task, the 2000 election would have been quickly forgotten. Rather, we avoided a totalitarian destruction of our democracy by the Clinton/Gore Nazis in 2000, by a handful of votes in Florida. The CFR would have done a better job. Maybe they really SHOULD get involved...
