Gephardt looks like "a man out of time." Not enough rhetorical fireworks to fire up the base. BTW, I feet that the rhetorical excesses on both sides (SI does not count) are unfortunate. The partisanship is getting out of hand. I would hate to be the next Supreme Court nominee. He or she is going to be put through a meat grinder.

Gephardt did his party a big favor last fall by providing cover on the Iraq resolution.

Prediction: American Spirit will spin Kerry's performance in the MoveOn "primary" as, "Proof that John Kerry is a moderate and not a liberal."
