That's what you all want to believe but that's not the argument. The argument is that when Bush could not get the American public's backing for the war, he took what little info he had on WMD and made it into a compelling argument, using fear as a backdrop, to convince the Amer. public. Its the Machiavellian nature of his argument.....the over the top mendacity that is so offensive.

Of course, you knew all that. I love it when conservatives play stupid!

Yes Jake, you knew that Bush was hyping the treat of nuclear weapons, and was hyping the threat of chemical and biological weapons, and was hyping a link of al-qaeda to Saddam Hussein.
He was doing it to gain political support for the Iraq invasion. Now, the preponderance of evidence indicates there was no immenent threat and no link to al=qaeda. History will record the proper verdict.
